Leo’s Tavern is renowned for its music being the birth place of world famous musical talents Enya, Clannad and Moya Brennan.

After a quick stop in Letterkenny for some shopping, the group went to Leo’s Tavern, where they were met by Bartley Brennan who spoke about the history of the pub and his famous family.

This was followed by dinner and live musical entertainment, with some FWIN members stepping into the spotlight to sing a few tunes themselves!

Catherine Cooke, FWIN Co-ordinator, said: “This was yet another wonderful trip and the feedback has been fantastic, I know all the women had a great time.

“These trips are a great way to reconnect women from different communities throughout the North West and reduce social isolation.

“I’d like to thank everyone at Leo’s Tavern, especially our host Bartley Brennan, for being so welcoming and ensuring everyone had a brilliant day.”

This event was funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
