In this project, ten women’s groups will embark on a women’s history project – to shed light on an inspirational woman from their communities or beyond
Groups have three weeks to select and discuss an important female figure from their community or from farther afield and devise a presentation on this person. Presentations can range from verbal discussions to quilt-making, dressing in costume, poetry, photography or a rolling dice – to name a few.
Groups will present the story of their woman at an evening symposium at Holywell on 11th December, with special guest speaker Henrietta Norton, the step-daughter of Mo Mowlam.
A group trip to a historical site and lunch on 4th December is also included in this programme.
