5 Ways FWIN Is Improving Our Communications
At FWIN, we're committed to ensuring that all our members stay connected, informed, and engaged as we move forward with our 2024/25 Communications Strategy. Here are five key changes we’re implementing to enhance our communications and make sure you’re always in the loop.
1. Introducing Our New Dynamic Website
You’ll have noticed our new shiny website is now live! This platform has been designed with you in mind, featuring an events calendar, real-time updates on FWIN activities, and a new blog where members can share their stories. It’s a hub for everything happening at FWIN, giving you quick access to information, resources, and opportunities to engage with our community.
How it affects you: You can now easily register for events online, explore member stories, and stay updated with real-time announcements all in one place. Be sure to check out our blog, where you can even contribute your own experiences!
2. Increased Engagement on Social Media
We know how important it is to meet you where you are, and for many, that’s on social media. We’ll continue to prioritize Facebook, where our engagement is strongest, but we’re also ramping up our Instagram presence, with more video content and posts aimed at younger audiences. Twitter will remain a tool for connecting with community leaders, but we’re also introducing LinkedIn to engage with potential funders and professional networks.
How it affects you: You’ll see more consistent updates on Facebook and Instagram, making it easier to stay connected with FWIN events and stories. Plus, LinkedIn will provide insights into our broader impact in the community. Make sure you follow us….
3. A Revamped Weekly Bulletin
Our weekly bulletin has been a reliable source of information for many years, and we’re making it even better. In addition to FWIN news, job listings, and local events, we’re introducing new sections such as member updates, network insights, and details on upcoming programs. This will keep the bulletin fresh and relevant for all demographics, especially younger members.
How it affects you: The bulletin will continue to arrive in your inbox every Friday, but now it will include more diverse content that reflects the whole spectrum of our membership and activities.
4. Streamlined Newsletter for Offline Members
We’re making changes to our postal newsletter to ensure we’re reaching those who truly need it while using our resources more efficiently. The newsletter will now be sent monthly, with a focus on upcoming events and programs. To keep our mailing list up to date, we’ll be asking members to resubscribe if they wish to continue receiving the postal newsletter. This way, we can ensure that printed newsletters are only sent to those who really need them.
How it affects you: If you prefer to continue receiving the newsletter by post, you will have the opportunity to reconfirm your subscription in the next postal edition.
If you would like to sign up for the postal newsletter, you can use the form below. However, for the most timely and up-to-date information, we encourage you to follow our weekly bulletin, which includes all the same details as the newsletter.
5. Improved Accessibility and Usability Across All Platforms
We’re redesigning our communications with accessibility in mind. The website will feature a more user-friendly layout, making it easier for members of all ages and technical abilities to navigate. We’re also ensuring that the website is mobile- and tablet-friendly, so you can access FWIN information on any device. In addition, the weekly bulletin will signpost to the website for those who prefer to download the newsletter in PDF format.
How it affects you: Whether you prefer to connect online or offline, these changes mean FWIN is more accessible than ever. You’ll have more ways to engage, no matter what platform or device you use.
