Policy and Engagement Officer
Part-Time • 25 Hours Per Week • £19,565

Purpose of the Role
The Policy and Engagement Officer will lead on organising and delivering engaging events, workshops, and programmes that bring women together. These events will aim to reduce social isolation, build confidence, and promote inclusion within the community. The post-holder will also coordinate focus groups and consultations to ensure that women’s lived experiences inform local and regional policy. This includes feeding into strategic policy work through the Women’s Regional Consortium. In addition, they will manage FWIN’s membership database in line with GDPR and develop initiatives to grow and retain membership, strengthening a vibrant, supportive network of women across the North West.
Key Responsibilites
Programme Deliver
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging events and workshops tailored to the needs of women in the community.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Build relationships with women’s organisations, local council, and grassroots groups.
Community Engagement
Develop inclusive initiatives that reduce social isolation, strengthen confidence, and promote social inclusion.
Membership Development
Manage FWIN’s membership database in line with GDPR and lead initiatives to grow, engage, and retain members.
Policy Influence
Coordinate focus groups and consultations that feeds into local and regional policy.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Maintain accurate records, collect impact data, and contribute to high-quality reporting for funders and stakeholders.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re someone with experience in the women’s or community sector, a passion for social justice, and the ability to bring people together through impactful events and programmes. You’re confident facilitating conversations, gathering lived experience, and feeding it into local and regional policy. You understand the power of inclusion and connection, and you’re skilled at managing logistics, building relationships, and keeping things organised. You’re motivated, proactive, and committed to creating real change for women across diverse backgrounds.
