The Getting Together Club: November Edit

Check Out Our Youth Club for Recycled Teenagers!

A beautiful embroidery workshop

We kicked things off with a brilliant embroidery workshop led by our American Intern, Mila, where many of the ladies made their very first cross stitch bookmarks. Several women have even continued their new hobby at home!

Charlotte’s Angels

Then the following week Charlotte kept the creative energy going with a gorgeous macrame angel-making workshop. Her patient, step-by-step guidance meant everyone went home with a beautiful Christmas decoration they were genuinely proud of.

A Digital Skills Taster Session

In Week 3, Ling and Michael from AbilityNet joined us for a lively Digital Skills Taster Session. They helped the ladies test their confidence with their mobile phones, taught simple tips like sending message attachments and photos, demonstrated how AI can help with everyday tasks, and shared ways to stay safe from scams. Many women have asked for a longer digital programme in the new year!

Falls Integrated Pathway

Then in Week 4, we welcomed Ann Marie from WHSCT’s Falls Integrated Pathway who shared practical, real life tips on staying safe at home and when out and about. Her advice was incredibly useful and easy to put into practice - no matter what age you are!

Feel free to drop in to our Getting Together Club. We meet every Wednesday morning from 10AM - 12PM at the Holywell Trust building on Biship Street, Derry/Londonderry. You can also check out our Events Page to see what’s in store for the club this month!
