Gives people the right to know if their current or ex-partner has any previous history of violence or abuse

You can request information from the PSNI about your current or ex partner
You can also request information about the current or ex-partner of a close friend, relative, or neighbor
If you are requesting information on someone else’s behalf, you may not necessarily receive disclosure personally

Right to Ask:
You have the right to ask about your current/ ex partners previous history of violence or abuse regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender identity, or other characteristic if you are over 16
Right to Know
The PSNI may decide to proactively share information with you if they believe you are at future risk (i.e. if someone else applied about your partner/ ex partner)
