Part-Time • 16 Hours Per Week • £11,290 per annum (Hours may be increased to 25 hours per week from April 2026)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and organised Finance Administrator to join our team and help us deliver our mission. This role is vital in keeping our finances running smoothly, ensuring transparency and accuracy in how we manage our resources.

In this role, you’ll be processing invoices, payments, and expenses, keeping accurate financial records and reconciliations, and taking care of payroll, pensions, and other staff payments. You’ll also support the preparation of management accounts, reports, and audits, as well as respond to finance queries from staff, suppliers, and partners.

Key Responsibilites

Financial Processing

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and staff/volunteer expense claims.

  •  Prepare and issue payment runs (BACS, cheques, online banking).

  •  Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card statements.

  •  Payroll preparation and pension submissions.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate filing systems (electronic and paper).

  •  Respond to finance-related queries from staff, suppliers, and partners.

  •  Support wider administrative functions as required.

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Support preparation of monthly and/or  quarterly management accounts.

  • Assist with financial reports for funders, auditors, and the Board.

  •  Monitor budgets and flag variances to the co-ordinator.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure financial procedures comply with organisational policies and statutory requirements.

  •  Support external audit preparation and year-end accounts.

  •  Maintain secure and confidential storage of financial documents.

Who We’re Looking For Someone Who…

If you’ve got experience in finance administration or bookkeeping and feel at home using Excel or accounting software, we’d love to get to know you.
