Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme

  • More frequently refered to as ‘Sarah’s Law’ this scheme lets you formally ask the police whether someone who has contact with a child or children

    • has a record for child sexual offense

    • poses a risk to the child or children for some other reason

    • You must apply for information about a specific person and a specific child/children

      • Can’t apply for general information

    • Anyone who is worried about someone’s behavior can use Sarah’s Law

    • No matter who applies, if there is information to share it will be told to whoever can use the information to keep the child safe (i.e. parents/family)
