ARC Fitness Health Fest NW

Last week, the FWIN team was delighted to host a stall at the vibrant ARC Fitness – Addiction Recovery Coaching Health Fest NW, an event that brought together organisations from across the region who are championing mental health, wellbeing, and recovery.

Held in the heart of the city, the Health Fest buzzed with energy, purpose, and community spirit. It was a celebration of strength and resilience, shining a spotlight on the services, tools, and support networks available to those on a journey of recovery. We were honoured to stand alongside so many brilliant groups—each working in their own way to promote healing, empowerment, and a more compassionate approach to health and wellbeing.

At our FWIN stall, we connected with a wide range of attendees—some already familiar with our work, others discovering it for the first time. We had powerful conversations about the links between trauma, addiction, and gender-based violence, and shared how our programmes provide a safe space for women to connect, heal, and rebuild. Whether it was sharing resources, offering listening ears, or just exchanging a few warm words, the experience reminded us once again of how important these moments of in-person community connection really are.

Events like Health Fest NW go beyond raising awareness—they help break stigma, build solidarity, and create opportunities for new partnerships and friendships to form. They show us what’s possible when we work collaboratively across sectors to meet people where they are—with empathy, openness, and zero judgment.

Huge credit to ARC Fitness for hosting such an impactful, uplifting event. We’re so grateful to have been part of it—and we look forward to continuing these conversations in every corner of our community.
