FWIN Annual Conference: Piece by Peace

We’re still on an absolute high after our Annual Conference: Piece by Peace—a day that brought together community, courage, and conversation in the heart of Derry.

From the moment doors opened at the Guildhall, the energy was palpable. Over the course of the day, we were moved, inspired, and challenged by our incredible speakers, whose wisdom, vulnerability, and passion lit a fire in the room. Each voice reminded us that peace starts within—and that when we tend to our inner world, we’re better equipped to create lasting peace in our communities.

This year’s theme, Piece by Peace, reflected the quiet, consistent work of healing from trauma, navigating conflict, and building something stronger in its place. Together, we explored how individual growth and collective action must go hand-in-hand if we’re to create a truly just and equal society.

A heartfelt thank you to the Guildhall team for hosting us in one of the city’s most iconic spaces with such care and professionalism. And to Yes Chef—the food was absolutely gorgeous and deeply appreciated by all who joined us.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who showed up. Your presence made the day what it was. Whether you attended as a speaker, participant, or supporter, you reminded us that peacebuilding is not just an idea—it’s a practice, a commitment, and a shared responsibility.

We also extend sincere thanks to our funders, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Choice Housing, whose generous support made this day possible.
